Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to assess the extent of trauma victims’ injuries or illnesses in order to determine emergency medical treatment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for training and supervising other ambulance attendants, emergency technicians, and attendants.
  • The candidate will be required to administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients.
  • The candidate will be responsible for transporting patients to a hospital or other medical facility for further medical treatment.
  • The candidate will be required to document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided.
  • The candidate will be required to assist hospital personnel with the provision of medical treatment, if necessary.
  • The candidate will be expected to maintain ambulances, emergency care equipment, and supplies.
  • The candidate must provide paramedical assistance to accident victims or sick people.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma from a 1 to 2 year College, CEGEP, or other non-university programme.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
  • The candidate must have a Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
