Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising or managing the activities of other opticians and student opticians.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in selecting eyeglasses.
- The candidate must advise on the proper use and care of contact lenses.
- The candidate will have to arrange for the grinding or polishing of lenses, or grind and polish lenses.
- The candidate will be responsible for cutting, edging, and fitting lenses into frames.
- The candidate must adjust finished eyeglasses to fit the client.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
- The candidate must be licensed by the provincial or territorial authorities.
- The candidate should be accurate.
- The candidate should be client focused.
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
