Job description
- All candidates will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, preparation, sterilisation, assembly, testing.
- They also have to store reusable patient care supplies and equipment.
- They will perform inventory control functions.
- Candidates also have to manoeuvre and push/pull loaded carts.
Job requirement
- All candidates must have Grade XII or recognized equivalent.
- They also must have successful completion of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate Program from any of the recognized MDR courses.
- No certain experience is required for this position.
- They also have to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Good telephone manners are also required for this role.
Work setting
- All applicants must have the ability to lift up to approximately 20 lbs/9kgs.
- They also have to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist and reach constantly throughout the entire shift.
- Candidates have to work independently with minimal supervision.
