Job description
- Candidates will participate in product development projects within product groups as assigned by the management team, completing project objectives as outlined.
- They will develop an author’s process of record for sensitive prototypes, providing documentation and process control points as necessary.
- They will evaluate current manufacturing processes and prescribe improvements.
- They will develop and directs Lean initiatives utilising 5S, SMED, Kanban and other Lean tools to maximise production processes and increase profitability
Job requirement
- Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred)
- They must have 3-5 years of design experience in a manufacturing environment
- They must have expertise in the use of Solidworks preferred
- They must have proficient with the Microsoft Office Program
- They take responsibility for their own actions including the impact of their own decisions on others.
Work setting
- Candidates must have the ability to lead projects for custom equipment design and fabrication as scheduled, including documentation of cost versus benefit analysis.
- They must have the ability to provide assembly support related to manufacturing drawings
- They should possess the capability to qualify new tooling prior to release for manufacturing.
