Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to negotiate and manage the development and maintenance of agreements regarding Indigenous child and family services with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit, as well as Indigenous organizations and communities in BC.
- They’re also appointed to support the Director, Indigenous Partnerships & Agreements with the development of Community Agreements under section 92.1(2) of the CFCSA, including leading the development of agreements.
- Candidates are also responsible for the negotiation and management of delegation agreements working in this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a dedicated degree in a related discipline like social work, social sciences, law, public administration, business administration etc. With a minimum of 3 years of related work experience to be eligible for this post.
- They must have an equivalent combination of experience and education to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have dedicated experience working with Indigenous Child and Family Services Agencies or Indigenous service providers and communities.
- They must have dedicated experience in a supervisory or management position to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have dedicated working experience in researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis to be eligible for this post.
- They must acquire experience in negotiation and mediation with Indigenous communities and a general understanding of conflict resolution processes and theory.
- Candidates must have dedicated experience in the development and analysis of legislation, regulation and policy that affects Indigenous people and communities to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must acquire a dedicated master’s degree in a related discipline to be eligible for this post.
