Job Description

The candidate will be expected to repair or replace broken machinery parts using welding and brazing tools
The candidate will be required to fabricate parts needed for overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
The candidate will be required to build machinery foundations.
The candidate will be required to install machinery and equipment.
The candidate will be required to assemble machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
The candidate will be required to perform routine machine maintenance.
The candidate must be able to use machining tools to fabricate parts.
The candidate must programme programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
The candidate must be able to use hoisting and lifting equipment.
The candidate will be expected to design and construct new industrial and construction machinery.
The candidate will be required to use specialised tools to align equipment (e.g. micrometer, plumb bobs)
The candidate will be expected to read and understand highly technical and complex machinery manuals.
The candidate will be required to review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints in order to determine work procedures.
To avoid contamination or safety hazards, the candidate will be required to transfer equipment to the appropriate site for maintenance.
The candidate will be expected to lay solid foundations for machines on-site and to train other construction workers on how to interact safely and efficiently with machinery and equipment.
When transporting or repairing machine parts, the candidate will be required to disassemble and reassemble the parts.
The candidate will be expected to inspect and test machinery and equipment for irregularities and malfunctions.
The candidate will be expected to keep the workplace clean and environmentally safe.
The candidate must be able to use a variety of hand tools, including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
