They’re responsible for preventative maintenance and repair requests made through the Facilities work order system. They are also appointed to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and industrial equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. Job Description
- Candidates are appointed to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and the Canadian National Electrical Code. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for serviceability.
- Candidates are also appointed to maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, industrial forklift batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Candidates are appointed to conduct preventative maintenance programs on powered and non-powered aircraft ground support equipment.
- They’re appointed to install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
Job requirement
- They must have completed a high school diploma and attained a dedicated Industrial Electrician Interprovincial Redseal.
- They must attain a minimum of five years of experience in the trade and attain the ability to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam.
- They must attain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must attain the ability to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment.
- Candidates must be a team player and always available to work a variety of day shifts as well as weekends and holidays.
