Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for establishing work schedules and procedures.
  • The candidate must coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare and submit reports.
  • The candidate will be responsible for scheduling maintenance and repair work.
  • The candidate will be expected to solve work-related issues.
  • The candidate will be expected to organise staff training.
  • The candidate will be expected to plan, assign, and review work.
  • The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • The candidate will be expected to plan, organise, and supervise the organization’s operational logistics.
  • The candidate will be expected to monitor the progress of delivery schedules.
  • The candidate must plan for shipping, receiving, and storage.
  • The candidate must use a computerised or manual inventory system to record the quantity, type, and value of stock on hand.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Fluency in Yoruba language is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work in Africa.

Work setting

  • The candidate must be willing to relocate to the specified location.
  • The candidate will be required to work in the retail industry.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be familiar with Inventory control software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.

Cuisine specialties

  • The cuisine specialty is African cuisine.

Area of work experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience in food service andย food and/or beverage processing.
