Job Description
- The candidate must maintain professionalism in customer service.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks in order to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have an Air Brake Endorsement Certificate.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Experience and specialization
Documentation knowledge
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about bill of lading, driver logbook and inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
Type of trucking and equipment
- Trucking and equipment types include refrigerated and straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles).
Transportation/travel experience
- The candidate must have travel experience in the local area.

Security and safety
- The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check as well as a driving record check (abstract).
