Live-in caregiver

FAMILLE KAKOU situated in L’Assomption, QC is currently looking for applications for the role of Live-in caregiver who is a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate for this position will be expected to start work promptly. The available positions are for Term or contract or Full time job. The shift times for this position are Evening and Early Morning. The LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) has granted approval for the Live-in caregiver position.

Job Description

  • The candidate must administer medications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
  • The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
  • The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • The candidate must provide companionship.
  • The candidate must provide personal care.
  • The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and caring for children.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • The candidate must be punctual.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
