Job description

  • The candidate will be required to train staff in preparation of food.
  • The candidate will be required to train staff in cooking food. 
  • The candidate will be required to train staff in handling food.
  • The candidate will be required to supervise kitchen staff.
  • The candidate will be required to take note of the helpers.
  • The candidate will be required to inspect kitchens.
  • The candidate will be required to look after food service areas.
  • The candidate will be required to clean the kitchen.
  • The candidate will be required to clean the work areas. 
  • The candidate will be required to maintain inventory and records of food.
  • The candidate will be required to maintain inventory and records of supplies. 
  • The candidate will be required to maintain inventory and records of equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare complete meals.
  • The candidate will be required to cook complete meals.
  • The candidate will be required to order supplies and equipment. 
  • The candidate will be required to work in the following positions:  Cook (general), Line Cook and Prep Cook. 
  • The candidate will be required to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • The work setting is a Restaurant.
  • The candidate will be working in a restaurant specialising in Filipino cuisine. 

Requirements

  • The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • The candidate should have an experience of at least 7 months to less than 1 year to apply for this job.
  • The candidate is required to present their Safe Food Handling certificate while applying for this job.
  • The candidate is required to present their Food Safety Certificate while applying for this job.   
  • Public transportation is available for the candidate to use.
  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
  • The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks.
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
  • The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The candidate should pay attention to detail.
  • The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and hence should be comfortable with it.
