Job description
- Candidates will start their day in the depot.
- They are responsible for sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- They will not only load but also drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
- They will spend their day outside in which they are responsible for delivering mail and packages. They can use vehicles.
- They will return to the depot because they have to unload the day’s incoming mail as well as packages for later delivery.
Job requirement
- A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license is needed in the post but make sure that it will be with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
- Candidates must be able to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).
- They must can carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day during work.
Work setting
- Candidates must have the availability to be on-call in the workplace.
- They must have the ability to read, write and speak English and French.
