Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for providing essential support to Crown Counsel by assisting in the preparation of prosecution case files and ensuring all materials are organized and ready for court.
- The candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and high-profile environment, demonstrating strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail, with responsibilities that may vary across different communities and office settings.

Job Requirements
- The candidate must have secondary school graduation or an equivalent qualification.
- The candidate must have successful completion of a recognized Legal Assistant certificate or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- The candidate must have office experience working in a confidential capacity.
- The candidate must have experience managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements.
- The candidate must have experience typing, drafting, formatting, proofreading, and editing a variety of documents.
- The candidate must have experience establishing and maintaining administrative systems, procedures, and standards, such as a bring forward system.
- Preference may be given to the candidate who has successful completion of a Legal Assistant or Paralegal certificate or equivalent.
- The candidate must have at least 1 year of administrative experience.
- The candidate must have at least 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) working as a Legal Assistant in a legal office.
- The candidate must have recent experience (within the last 18 months) working for the BC Prosecution Service or experience working in the criminal justice sector.
- The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
