Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to manage a departmental centralized budget and oversee accounts payable workflow and approvals.
  • They are also appointed to oversee appropriate business continuity preparation annually.
  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to provide analysis of budgeted, projected, and actual spending for the department.
  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to coordinate workforce management activities on behalf of Planning & Development Services Senior management.
  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to oversee the coordination of departmental programs, such as safety, parking, wellness, and departmental recognition efforts.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain a degree in Public Administration, Business, Accounting, Finance, Design, Planning, Political Science, or related disciplines and at least 10 years of progressively senior or diverse work experience. 
  • Candidates must attain a dedicated graduate degree in business administration, public administration or a related field and at least 8 years of progressively senior or diverse work experience, including at least 2 years of experience leading and supervising a team.
  • Candidates must attain advanced capability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to be eligible for this post.
  • They must demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking abilities to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • Candidates with an accounting designation are considered and must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence others.
