Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to provide consistent, timely, and accurate information to employees and managers in accordance with plan rules, corporate policies, and collective bargaining provisions.
  • The candidate will be required to review details and confirm information on all forms received from managers and employees prior to processing and to contact managers and employees for verification of information or missing information.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in the preparation and distribution of materials, including benefit packages for regular hires.
  • The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining employee files.
  • The candidate must maintain a timely call/e-mail response system.
  • The candidate must keep a current and up-to-date paper and electronic filing system.
  • The candidate will be required to participate in special assignments and audits to collect data and information to support Human Resources programmes and initiatives.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare employment letters as well as various other letters for employee needs.
  • The candidate will be expected to help the Human Resources Consultants with administrative tasks.
  • The candidate must be familiar with office equipment (photocopier, scanning, faxing)
  • The candidate will be expected to assist with all internal and external HR inquiries or requests.
  • The candidate must help with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
  • The candidate will be required to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • The candidate will be in charge of serving as the first point of contact for all personnel inquiries.
  • The candidate will be expected to give advice to employees on how to behave and how to resolve conflicts.
  • The candidate will be required to conduct investigations in response to employee complaints.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep the HR management team’s calendars up to date.
  • The candidate must process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
  • The candidate must complete termination paperwork as well as exit interviews.
  • The candidate will be expected to stay current on the latest HR trends and best practises.
  • The candidate will be responsible for communicating with candidates and scheduling interviews.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in the organisation and management of new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programmes.
  • The candidate must document and track human resource actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • The candidate will be expected to train, direct, and motivate employees.
  • The candidate will be expected to help with the development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising and assisting employees in understanding human resource policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Post-secondary education in Business Administration, or related field
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in an administrative role
