Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to look after the emotional well-being of children.
  • The candidate will be required to take children to and from school and appointments.
  • The candidate will be required to supervise and care for children.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals.
  • The candidate will be required to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • The candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising balanced routines that include physical activities, rest, and playtime.
  • The candidate will be required to perform light housekeeping duties like cleaning and tidying the room or house, changing beds etc.
  • The candidate will be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder.
  • The candidate will be responsible for sterilizing bottles, preparing formulas and changing diapers for infants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for instructing children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • The candidate will be responsible for bathing, dressing and feeding infants and children.
  • The candidate will be in charge of washing, ironing and pressing clothes and household linens.
  • The candidate will be expected to discipline children using the methods specified by the parents.
  • The candidate will be required to travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision.
  • The candidate will be expected to go shopping for food and household supplies.
  • The candidate will be required to provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings.
  • The candidate will be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
  • The candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • The candidate will be expected to calm agitated babies by using specific infant handling strategies and procedures such as soothing.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of children in your care.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate will be in charge of children ranging in age from toddler to preschool (1 – 3 years) and school age (6 – 12 years).
  • The candidate must have First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be punctual.
