Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to support CCG operations through a variety of flying activities from shore bases and CCG icebreakers.
- They’re also required to provide essential services to support the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) helicopter operation.
- Candidates working in this post will also have to perform proceedings assigned by the senior officials.
Job requirement
- Candidates working in this post must attain the ability to operate to/from remote helicopter landing pads, often in confined areas.
- They must attain the ability to coordinate and plan activities in response to various client requests.
- Candidates must attain the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- They must attain dedicated knowledge of Aircraft Services Directorate operational policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Candidates working at this post must attain a minimum of 3000 hours on turbine Helicopters to be eligible for this post.
- They must acquire a minimum of 2000 hours of pilot-in-command in Helicopters experience to be eligible for this post.
- They must be required to spend up to 6 weeks, continuously, away from base aboard ship working at this post.
- They must be able to perform over time to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must acquire knowledge of Canadian Coast Guard Shipboard Helicopter Procedures and operations including slinging.
