Health and Safety Specialist

Job description
- Candidates will call in case of general or serious health and safety issues.
- They will examine and follow audit reports and health and safety inspections.
- They will seek to close actions in the site safety management plan.
- They will lead the emergency response team and take part in emergency response activities when necessary.
- They assist employees who are acting in a dangerous manner or who are not following safe work practises or rules feedback.
- They also help staff members complete their First Report of Injury forms, and offer first assistance as required.
Job requirement
- Candidates have the capacity to fulfil attendance obligations.
- They must have the potential to uphold a secure work environment and exhibit a track record of safe work procedures.
- They must spread general awareness of the laws governing distribution centres’ occupational health and safety.
Work setting
- Candidates must efficiently operate on their own and with little guidance.
- They must be competent in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and other MS Office programmes.
- They should have the capacity to enforce adherence to safety standards by the team and management at all levels.
- They will oversee and direct training sessions for brand-new employees or seasoned team members.
