Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds.
- The candidate will be responsible for spreading sand or salt on sidewalks to control snow and ice.
- The candidate must dig ditches and trenches.
- The candidate must collect and load refuse on garbage trucks.
- The candidate must assist equipment operators in securing attachments to equipment or trucks.
- The candidate must assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons.
- The candidate must shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers and spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes, and hand tampers.
- The candidate will be responsible for sweeping debris and removing snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds, and other areas, as well as loading snow and debris onto carts or trucks.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty and wet/damp conditions.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
