Job description
- Candidates will prepare and assemble a wide variety of food.
- They are responsible for doing complete meals, restricted diets, salads as well as beverages in a large institution
- They will oversee proper handling as well as timely production and service of meals.
- They will ensure proper storage, preparation, as well as portion control standards.
- They will maintain proper sanitary conditions in the kitchen area.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have knowledge of volume cooking or baking methods.
- They must have the ability to prepare and assemble a high volume of meals.
- They must have knowledge of various diets.
- They must have knowledge of food safety practices.
Work setting
- Candidates must have a Cook’s certificate issued by the appropriate Ministry.
- They must have acceptable equivalent knowledge or experience in volume cooking.
- They must have a valid Food Handler Certificate.
