Job Description

  • The candidate must identify the financial goals and objectives of the clients.
  • The candidate will be expected to examine the financial records of clients.
  • The candidate will be responsible for creating financial plans for clients.
  • The candidate must make recommendations on cash management, insurance, investment planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.
  • The candidate must arrange for the sale of financial products and investments.
  • The candidate will be required to negotiate mortgage loans and submit mortgage applications on behalf of the client to lenders or lending institutions.
  • The candidate will be required to administer estate, personal, charitable, corporate, and other types of trusts, direct trust account investments, receive and record investment income, and disburse trust funds.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have Anti-Money Laundering (CAMS) Certification, Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) Accreditation, and have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Canadian Institute of Financial Planning Course, and Conduct and Practices Handbook course.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
