Job Description
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
- The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
- The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Candidate having experience is an asset
Work site environment
- Farm operations include chicken farming, layer poultry farming, livestock combination farming, and poultry and egg production.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
Experience and specialization
Field work location experience
- The candidate must have field work location experience in Ontario and/or Quebec.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience in operating equipment and machinery, including automated manure handling or storage systems, egg gathering systems, and hand tools.
Automated systems experience
- The candidate must have experience with automated systems, including bulk grain or feed handling, automated environmental control equipment, and manure handling and storage.
Area of specialization
- The candidate must specialize in agricultural livestock services, poultry, and animal husbandry.

- The candidate must have their own transportation.
- The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
