Job Description
- The candidate must groom farm animals.
- The candidate must feed inventory.
- The candidate will be responsible for grading.
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for milking goats.
- The candidate will be responsible for tying.
- The candidate must feed and care for animals.
- The candidate must milk cows.
- The candidate must be able to recognise and treat certain livestock health issues.
- The candidate will be expected to carry out general farm duties.
- The candidate will be expected to keep work records and logs.
- The candidate will be expected to provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, livestock spraying or shearing, or disinfecting pens, barns, or poultry houses.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include chicken farming, goat farming, hog and pig farming, poultry and egg production, and livestock farming.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
Work setting
