Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for brush collection.
The candidate must clean the crop.
The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand.
The candidate must be able to handle animals.
The candidate must harvest seedlings.
The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate will be required to pick up stones and/or wood.
The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
The candidate must harvest crops.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate will be expected to inspect the product for quality and prepare it for market.
The candidate will be responsible for installing and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate must clean the work area.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in French language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 23 kg (50 lbs), and more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
The candidate should be a good team player.
The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
The candidate should be reliable.

Work site environment

Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming, hay farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, and soybean farming.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.

Work setting

The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.

Experience and specialization

Type of product

The products are coniferous trees and deciduous trees.

Type of crops

Crops include soybeans, strawberries, and sweet corn.

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have prior experience operating haying equipment, manure spreaders, swathers, tractors, and hand tools.

The candidate must have their own transportation.
The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
