Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
  • he candidate must organize tasks to accomplish the work.
  • The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must provideย agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate must perform on-site servicing and repair.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include corn farming, hay farming, wheat farming, grain, oil, forage crop production, and livestock farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
  • The candidate will be required to perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating storage and silage systems, tractors, farm trucks, loaders, manure spreaders, tillage equipment, and hand tools.
