Job Description

• The candidate must mix fertilizer.
• The candidate must organize tasks to complete the work.
• The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work site environment

• Farm operations include corn farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, oilseed (excluding soybean) farming, organic farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, other poultry farming and mushroom farming.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
• Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
• The candidate should work from a remote location, the practice of employees doing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

• Crops include bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cherries, cucumbers, garlic, ginger, ginseng, grapes, greenhouse tomatoes, greenhouse vegetables, herbs, melons, onions, seed corn, strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, and zucchini.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience using carrot seeders, onion seeders, onion transplanters, and harvesters.

• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate must finished the work with in the given time line.
• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in sitting, standing, and walking positions.
• The candidate must have excellent hand eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• The candidate must be willing to walk for long periods of time.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

• The candidate must have safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, and gloves.
