Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Previous experience is not mandatory.
Knowledge of farming best practices would be an added advantage.

The candidate will be responsible for farm animal grooming.
The candidate will be in charge of keeping an inventory of the necessary feed ingredients.
The candidate should be bondable and easily communicate.
The candidate will be in charge of planting, cultivating, and irrigation of crops on time
The candidate should have knowledge and capability to operate farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting of crops.
The candidate will be required to keep an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases.
The candidate will be in charge of keeping track of information such as pesticide use and yields.
The candidate will be responsible for protecting crops from weeds and pests by taking appropriate actions like spraying pesticides etc.
The candidate will be required to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
The candidate will be expected to feed and care for animals.
The candidate will be required to monitor animal health on a regular basis.
The candidate will be responsible for detecting disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry.
The candidate will be in charge of stone and/or wood picking.
The candidate will be required to work in conjunction with large animal vets to provide herd health management, veterinary treatments, and routine vaccinations.
The candidate will be required to consult with animal nutritionists and livestock feed sales representatives to create feeding plans that yield maximum milk production levels.
The candidate will be required to identify sick animals and work with veterinarian to determine proper treatment.
The candidate should be responsible for maintaining adequate stock for animal foods, medicines etc.
The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.
The candidate should ensure farm activities comply with government regulations.
The candidate must examine the quality of the product and get it ready for the market.
The candidate will be required to ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

The candidate should have clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations.

Work Site Environment

The candidate should be willing to work in an outdoor environment for long hours, including tolerance for pests and thorns.
The candidate will be required to work in wet or damp, dusty, hot and cold environments.
The candidate will be required to work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
The candidate should be able to work with full concentration even in noisy surroundings.

Transportation/Travel Information

For transportation, the candidate should use their own vehicle.
The candidate should have valid driver’s licence.
