Job Description
- The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
- The candidate must be able to operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment.
- The candidate must be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
- The candidate must examine welds to ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- The candidate must be capable of fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.
- The candidate must determine the weldability of materials.
- The candidate must be able to use hoisting and lifting equipment.
- The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams in metal.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for grinding and buffing seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The applicant must have a certificate or diploma in other trade, or equivalent experience in Welding technology/welder.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate must be punctual.
- The candidate must be hardworking.

- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
- The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty, hot and dirty conditions.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

- The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.

- The candidate must work in the swimming pool/centre.

- Materials include stainless steel and steel, iron, and heavy metals.
Measuring tools
- Gauges are used as measuring tools.
Welding techniques
- Welding techniques include TIG, MIG and Gas metal ARC (GMAW) (MIG).
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience with brazing machine, butt or seam resistance welding machine, gas welding machine, soldering machine and spot welding machine.
Area of specialization
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about structural construction, cast iron and other metals, fencing, balconies, stairs, and railings.
