Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to conduct interviews with clients in order to obtain employment history, educational background, and career objectives.
  • The candidate must supervise other counsellors and support staff.
  • The candidate will be expected to identify employment barriers and assist clients with matters such as job readiness skills, job search strategies, rรฉsumรฉ writing, and interview preparation.
  • The candidate will be required to perform administrative tasks.
  • The candidate must assess the need for assistance, such as rehabilitation, financial aid, or additional training, and refer clients to the appropriate services.
  • The candidate will be expected to recruit and hire employees.
  • The candidate will be required to gather labour market information for clients regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements, and other occupational information.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide established employees with information and strategies for retaining or moving within an organisation.
  • The candidate will be in charge of housekeeping duties.
  • The candidate will be in charge of food preparation.
  • The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing and advising both professional and non-professional staff.
  • The candidate must plan, manage, and control budgets for projects, programmes, support services, and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling, and evaluating the delivery of social and community service programmes.
  • The candidate will be required to establish administrative procedures.
  • The candidate must represent their respective organisations in government liaison and media relations.
  • The candidate will be expected to contribute to policy development by preparing reports and briefs for management committees and working groups.
  • The candidate must hire and train both professional and non-professional staff.
  • The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a programme lasting one to two years, or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate will be expected to supervise employees in a variety of areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must have a First Aid Certificate, a CPR Certificate, and have completed Mandt System training.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
