Job Description

  • The candidate must be able to operate a cash register.
  • The candidate must be able to use computerised inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide merchandise advice.
  • The candidate must conduct sales transactions via Internet-based electronic commerce.
  • The candidate will be expected to estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services desired for purchase, rental, or lease.
  • The candidate will be required to keep sales records for inventory control.
  • The candidate must prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease.
  • The candidate must prepare sales, rental, or leasing contracts and accept payment by cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit.
  • The candidate must store items in a warehouse, tool room, or supply area.
  • The candidate will be expected to sell spare and replacement parts.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep inventory control system records.
  • The candidate will be responsible for issuing and distributing internal parts and supplies.
  • The candidate must receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials.
  • The candidate must ship, deliver, or pick up parts, products, or equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing and tracking work orders.
  • The candidate must be able to handle cash transactions.
