Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are appointed to provide leadership in the delivery and facilitation of programs and courses as well as promoting career development for people in the community.
- They’re also required to maintain knowledge and understanding of adult education theory and practice;
- Candidates will also have knowledge and experience in basic academic career counselling/coaching working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completion of a Bachelor of Adult Education or Bachelor of Education to be eligible for this post.
- They must have 2 years of positive and progressive work experience in adult instruction to be eligible for this post.
- They must have adult education certification or coursework and acquire knowledge of northern communities, cultures and cross-cultural processes to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have fluency in one or more Aboriginal languages, reflective of the community in which the incumbent will be employed to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have familiarity with current distance education techniques and also have certification in First Aid to be eligible for this post.
- They must have proven leadership, management, organizational and time management skills to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must have budgeting skills and the ability to anticipate long-term financial needs and requirements for program delivery.
