Hiu Ming Yeung based in Vancouver, BC, is looking for candidates for the position of Child Care Provider – Private Home with 1 vacancy. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to that of permanent employment and a full time job. Hiu Ming Yeung has an approved Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill skills shortages and labor shortages on a temporary basis. Job description

  • The candidate will be required to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • The candidate will be required to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • The candidate will be required to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  • The candidate will be required to bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare infants and children for rest periods.
  • The candidate will be required to help children with homework.
  • The candidate will be required to tend to emotional well-being of children.
  • The candidate will be required to take children to and from school and to appointments.
  • The candidate will be required to supervise and care for children.
  • The candidate will be required to sterilize bottles.
  • The candidate will be required to organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare formulas.
  • The candidate will be required to change diapers for infants.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • The candidate will be required to wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
  • The candidate will be required to travel with family on trips.
  • The candidate will be required to assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • The candidate will be required to shop for food and household supplies.
  • The candidate will be required to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • The candidate will be required to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
  • The candidate will be required to tend to a children and toddlers of age one to three years..
  • Optional accommodation is available for the candidate at the employer’s home at no charge on a live-in basis. This is not a condition of employment though.
  • Will be required to work in the employer’s or the client’s home.

Requirements

  • The candidate should have a Secondary high school graduation certificate.
  • The candidate should have equivalent qualification.
  • No experience is required for applying to this job as the candidate will be trained.
  • The candidate should have knowledge in emergency child care first aid.
  • The candidate should be able to work in the employer’s home.
  • The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate should have a CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate should be able to produce reference from trusted sources.
  • The candidate should have a thorough Criminal record check.
  • No smoking will be allowed in the premises.
  • Public transportation is available for the candidate to avail.
  • The candidate should be willing to travel regularly.
  • Staff accommodation is available for the candidate.
  • The candidate should be able to manage repetitive tasks.
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
