Job Description

  • The candidate must maintain and repair sports equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading and instructing groups.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading and instructing individuals.
  • The candidate must ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assembling supplies, sports, and game equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring recreational, sports, or fitness activities to ensure safety and providing emergency or first aid assistance as needed.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must supervise more than 20 people.
  • The candidate must have a National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and hot conditions.
  • The candidate must work in or on water.

Work setting

  • The employee should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
  • The candidate should work in a room, and board provided dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusion and well-being where our staff members thrive.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
  • The candidate should work from a remote location, which is when employees do their jobs from somewhere other than the employer’s central office.
  • The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.
  • The candidate must work in camp.

Experience and specialization

Boating experience

  • The candidate must have boating experience with rowboats and canoes.

  • The candidate should undergo a thorough child abuse registry check and vulnerable sector check.
