Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
  • The candidate will be expected to restore body surfaces by filing, grinding, and sanding them.
  • The candidate will be in charge of replacing front end components, body components, doors, frame components, and underbody components.
  • The candidate will be in charge of repairing or replacing interior components.
  • The candidate will be in charge of applying primers and repainting surfaces.
  • The candidate will be in charge of reviewing damage reports and estimating repair costs, as well as planning work to be done.
  • The candidate will be in charge of masking and taping auto body surfaces prior to painting.
  • The candidate will be responsible for removing damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • The candidate will be required to repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  • The candidate will be in charge of inspecting and testing repaired vehicles for good handling.
  • The candidate will be responsible for operating soldering equipment or filling holes, dents, and seams with plastic filler.
  • The candidate will be responsible for straightening bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
  • The candidate must be able to mix paint, blend colours, and match them.
  • The candidate will be expected to speak with clients in order to determine what work needs to be done.
  • The candidate will be expected to conduct diagnostic evaluations to confirm that all faults have been identified and that the customer agrees to have them fixed.
  • Before beginning work, the candidate will be expected to perform cost estimates and confirm them with customers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original or better condition by repairing, replacing, and upgrading exterior features.
  • The candidate will be required to customise vehicles based on the preferences of customers as requested.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each vehicle is roadworthy at the end of the job.
  • The candidate will be expected to check to ensure that issues have been resolved to the satisfaction of the customers.
  • The candidate will be expected to check parts against estimates and ensure that the correct parts are ordered and received.
  • The candidate will be expected to notify management of any additional repairs that are required.
  • The candidate must be able to operate all tools and equipment safely.
  • The candidate must follow all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Any deviations are reported to management.
  • The candidate must work with and assist other personnel in the repair and preparation of vehicles.
  • The candidate must notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being completed or cause a delay in the promised time.

  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in similar industry.
