Job Description 

  • Applicants working at this post are required to ensure the safety and security of youth, staff, youth centre and community applied for this post.
  •  People are also required to perform a full range of duties related to the supervision and case management of youth on an assigned rotating shift working at this post.
  • Candidates working at this post are also required to utilize a relationship custody or cognitive learning behavioural approach within a secure custody or detention facility setting that functions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates appointed to this post must have completed post-secondary education from a college/university of recognized standing in a related field with an emphasis in behaviour management, and adolescent development to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain valid emergency First Aid, CPR (level C) and AED Certification to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must attain dedicated knowledge of various sociological issues impacting youth to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain dedicated knowledge of case management and group work principles and techniques gender responsive therapeutic programming, and treatment approaches to be eligible for this post.
  •  Candidates must be able to build positive relationships with youth and must attain facilitation and team-building skills to be considered as an asset for this post.

Work setting 

  • Candidates applying for this post must have analytical, interpretive, reasoning and problem-solving skills to be eligible for this post.
