Job Description
- Candidates who apply for this post are required to provide emotional support and crisis intervention to vulnerable clients through a trauma-informed and victim-centred lens, including assessing risks and needs working at this post.
- They’re also appointed to maintain relationships with criminal justice partners and community agencies to advocate on behalf of clients and refer clients for services like counselling and safety planning working at this post.
- People who apply for this post are required to document throughout the case management process to create timely and accurate case notes working at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to participate in projects to review and improve services, committees to collaborate and build relationships, and public education activities to promote the program working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates applying for this post must attain the ability to support marginalized and vulnerable clients who are victims or witnesses of crimes, including but not limited to intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and homicide, to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain crisis response and intervention skills to help clients in need to be eligible for this post.
- People applying for this post must be able to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies about victims of crime and court proceedings to support clients in their understanding of legal court processes to be eligible for this post.
- They must be able to identify risks to clients, develop case plans, make appropriate referrals and communicate to justice partners to be eligible for this post.
- They must be able to address complex client needs based on the information provided to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates applying for this post must be able to recommend new services or service improvements and foster cooperation when implementing changes to be eligible for this post.
