Job Description

  • The candidate must read blueprints to determine the work requirements.
  • The candidate must test and observe the electrical and mechanical conditions of the equipment.
  • The candidate must troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electromechanical equipment.
  • The candidate must use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
  • The candidate must replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
  • The candidate must have the ability to weld or braze components.
  • The candidate must wind, assemble, and install various types of coils.
  • The candidate must perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors.
  • The candidate will have to perform on-site maintenance and repairs.
  • The candidate must test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.

Work setting

  • The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
  • The candidate should focus on repair work, which involves restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good condition.
  • Work settings offer testing services.
  • The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.
