Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for determining the method of shipping.
• The candidate will be responsible for scheduling transportation conveyances.
• The candidate will be responsible for assembling containers and crates.
• The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
• The candidate must maintain an internal record-keeping system.
• The candidate will be responsible for routing goods to the appropriate storage areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for packaging goods for shipment.
• The candidate must unpack the received goods.
• The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have a Forklift Operator Certification.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be noisy and busy with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, packers, and forklift truck drivers moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate should work in a retail/wholesale establishment or distribution center, handling products from manufacturers or wholesalers, organizing them, and shipping them to their final destinations as quickly as possible.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience operating dollies, hand trucks, hoists or winches, industrial lift trucks, and forklifts.

• The candidate must have a cellphone and steel-toed safety boots.
