Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for scheduling the distribution of goods.
- The candidate must prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
- The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
- The candidate must maintain an internal record-keeping system.
- The candidate must record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- The candidate will be responsible for routing goods to the appropriate storage areas.
- The candidate will be responsible for packaging goods for shipment.
- The candidate must unpack the received goods.
- The candidate will be responsible for attaching identifying information and shipping instructions to shipments.
- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of goods.
- The candidate must supervise material handlers and helpers.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should be client focused.
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
- The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work setting
- The candidate must work for a freight forwarding company, an industrial facility or establishment, a commercial facility, a moving and storage company, or a shipping company or agency.
- The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy and busy environment with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, as well as many forklift truck drivers moving pallets between shelves.

- The candidate must have experience operating dollies, hand trucks, industrial lift trucks, forklifts, pallet lifters, and scanners.
