Job Description

  • The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
  • The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers checks, or room billings.
  • The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff.
  • The candidate must be of legal drinking age in order to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • The candidate will be expected to prepare and serve specialty food at the tables of customers.

  • The candidate will be required to advise on menu selections
  • The candidate must describe and advise on wine selection.
  • The candidate will be required to describe menu items including daily specials for customers
  • The candidate will be expected to greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and respond to questions about food and beverages.
  • After a party departs, the candidate must clear tables of all plates, cups, and flatware, wipe down tables, and properly re-set them with clean tableware.
  • The candidate will be required to respond to all beverage and food-related questions.
  • The candidate must ensure quality service in the dining room and serve meals.
  • The candidate will be expected to take reservations and greet customers at the take-out counter.
  • The candidate will be required to follow health regulations concerning cleanliness.
  • The candidate will be expected to follow safety regulations.
  • The candidate will be required to clean work area.
  • The candidate will be expected to professionally organise their work and work area.
  • The candidate would be in charge of ensuring accuracy when entering orders into the POS system.
  • The candidate would be in charge of checking on guests to ensure their satisfaction with the product and overall experience, as well as providing feedback to management.
  • The candidate would be in charge of using proper serving techniques.
  • The candidate will be in charge of assisting clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate will be required to clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
  • The candidate would be responsible for notifying manager if a product does not meet specifications.
  • The candidate would be responsible for monitoring the quantity of food that is prepared and the portions that are served.
  • The candidate must ensure that the food is served in the proper portion, arrangement, and garnish.
  • The candidate will be required to serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacle.
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge of menu items and beverages
  • The candidate would be responsible for arranging tables and chairs to make room for large groups.
  • The candidate will be required to make suggestions based on their preferences.
  • The candidate would be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns in timely fashion.
