Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for conducting tests to ensure quality or detect defects.
- The candidate will be responsible for establishing NDI techniques and calibration standards.
- The candidate will be responsible for calibrating, testing, and interpreting ultrasonic equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, operating, and interpreting magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermography equipment.
- The candidate must develop techniques for properly examining objects under inspection while adhering to strict safety regulations.
- The candidate will be responsible for instructing and supervising trainees.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining test result reports.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
- The candidate must have National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) accreditation, CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 2, and a Nondestructive Testing Certificate.
- The candidate should be accurate.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.

- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

- The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
Experience and specialization
Testing equipment and methods
- The candidate must be skilled in liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, visual inspection, ultrasonic, and nondestructive testing techniques.
Area of work experience
- The candidate must have work experience in construction, large pressure vessels, oil or gas pipelines, and the petrochemical industry.
