Job Description
- Applicants working in this post are appointed to provide a safe aquatic environment and a Quality Visitor Experience for guests of the Park.
Job requirement
- They must attain a dedicated secondary school diploma or Public Service Commission-approved alternative to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have prior experience with point-of-sale equipment operation, cash handling and balancing daily sales to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain prior experience in providing information and service to the public.
- Applicants must have prior experience in working in a team environment along with the ability to provide a quality visitor experience to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain the ability to follow established practices and procedures as well as to adapt them to changing circumstances and conditions to be considered as an asset for this post.
- Applicants applying for this post must acquire possession of a valid driver’s license to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates are required at this post to perform a variety of work tasks including cleaning, snow removal, cash handling, pool and ground maintenance working at this post.
- They must be able to assist Lifeguards perform major first aid and water rescues under reasonable physical stresses to be considered as an asset for this post.
Work setting
- Applicants at this post are required to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance level throughout this employment at Parks Canada Agency working at this post.
- They must be willing to work and travel in a variety of terrains and weather conditions in the performance of the duties to get preferred for this post.
- They’re also required to wear a uniform while performing the duties to be considered as an asset for this post.
