Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to conduct general cleaning around buildings, grounds, and public-use areas such as visitor centres, campgrounds, beach areas and walkways. 
  • They’re also appointed to lock and unlock buildings and gates working at this post. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to observe the appearance and condition of premises and equipment; and report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring servicing. 
  • They’re also appointed to maintain/restock inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies. 
  • Candidates are appointed to contribute to the visitor experience by responding to general inquiries and directing visitors to sources of information and service areas.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must ensure successful completion of secondary school education or Public Service Commission-approved alternatives to be eligible for this post.  
  • Candidates must attain experience working in a variety of teams and attain dedicated experience in anticipating/meeting public needs and resolving complaints. 
  • Candidates must be able to communicate fluently in English and French to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have knowledge of Parks Canada operations and the natural and cultural history of Kouchibouguac National Park. 
  • They must attain dedicated possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification. 
  • Candidates must have possession of a valid Driver’s license and willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment. 
  • Candidates must obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security clearance to be eligible for this post. 

Work setting 

  • Candidates must have parks Canada prohibits smoking or vaping in the workplace.
