Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are appointed to conduct general cleaning around buildings, grounds, public-use areas such as visitor centers, campgrounds, beach areas and walkways. 
  • They’re also appointed to lock and unlock buildings and gates working at this post. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to observe the appearance and condition of premises and equipment. 
  • They’re also appointed to maintain or restock inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to contribute to visitor experience by responding to general inquiries and direct visitors to sources of information and service areas.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain secondary school education or Public Service Commission approved alternatives to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attain experience working in a variety of teams to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attain experience in anticipating or meeting public needs, resolving complaints, anticipating or detecting incidents and finding solutions. 
  • Candidates must attain experience in providing cleaning services to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must be able to communicate fluently in English and French.
  • Candidates must attain dedicated knowledge of Parks Canada operations and the natural and cultural history of Kouchibouguac National Park. 
  • They’re also appointed for providing service excellence to internal and/or external clients in Ohio. 

Work setting 

  • Candidates must hold the possession of a valid Driver’s license. 
  • Candidates must ensure the willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment.
