Job Description
- The candidate must handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian before, during, and after surgery.
- The candidate must prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian.
- The candidate must administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- The candidate will be responsible for conducting and assisting in laboratory research.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing routine animal dental procedures and assisting veterinarians with animal dentistry.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care and rehabilitation therapy to animals.
- The candidate must provide wound and bandage care.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate should be client focused.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
