Job description
- The candidate will be required to transport dangerous goods.
- The candidate will be required to handle dangerous goods.
- The candidate will be required to perform preventive maintenance.
- The candidate will be required to perform emergency roadside repairs.
- The candidate will be required to perform brake adjustments.
- The candidate will be required to load and unload goods.
- The candidate will be required to receive information from central dispatch.
- The candidate will be required to relay information to central dispatch.
- The candidate will be required to operate and drive straight trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate will be required to operate and drive articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate will be required to manage tarping.
- The candidate will be required to ensure safety and security of cargo.
- The candidate will be required to oversee condition of vehicle.
- The candidate will be required to inspect tires.
- The candidate will be required to inspect lights.
- The candidate will be required to inspect brakes.
- The candidate will be required to inspect cold storage and other equipment.
- The candidate will be required to record cargo information.
- The candidate will be required to record hours of service.
- The candidate will be required to record distance travelled.
- The candidate will be required to record fuel consumption.
- The candidate will be required to perform pre-trip inspection.
- The candidate will be required to perform en route inspection.
- The candidate will be required to post-trip inspection.
- The candidate will be required to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Relocation costs of the candidate will not covered by employer.

Requirements
- The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- The candidate should have an experience of at least 2 years to less than 3 years.
- The candidate should have Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
- The candidate should have Air Brakes Endorsement.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Accident or incident reports.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Trip reports.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Maintenance reports.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on repair reports.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Dangerous goods occurrence reports.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Driver logbook.
- The candidate should have documentation knowledge on Bill of lading.
- The candidate should have Communication Systems Experience in Operate GPS (Global Positioning System).
- The candidate should have Communication Systems Experience in navigation equipment.
- The candidate should have Communication Systems Experience in Trip recorder (on-board computer).
- The candidate should have own cellular phone.
- The candidate should have own Steel-toed safety boots.
- The candidate should have own Hard hat.
- The candidate should have driver’s validity license check.
- The candidate should also be willing to travel cross-border.
- The candidate should also be willing to travel for extended periods.
- The candidate should also be willing to travel overnight.
- The candidate should also have Valid driver’s license.
- The candidate should also be able to drive manual transmission vehicle.
- The candidate should also be able to manage large workload.
- The candidate should also be able to do repetitive tasks.
