Job Description

  • The candidate must plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • The candidate must maintain a professional demeanour in customer service.
  • The candidate must load and unload goods.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • A candidate with experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have a DZ class license and an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification.
  • The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgmental skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident and incident reports, as well as inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip).
