Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to ensure that the equipment works properly.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep work records and logs.
  • The candidate will be expected to inform vehicle operators of traffic and other issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for dispatching personnel in accordance with schedules and work orders.
  • The candidate will be responsible for dispatching personnel as needed in emergency situations.
  • The candidate will be expected to follow up on work order issues.
  • The candidate will be required to handle wake-up calls.
  • The candidate will be expected to track shipments.
  • The candidate must be familiar with cross-border dispatching regulations and practises.
  • The candidate must be familiar with highway trucking and its associated rules and regulations.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep vehicle operator work records.
  • The candidate must be able to use computer-assisted communications and dispatching equipment.
  • The candidate must be able to operate radio equipment.
  • The candidate must accept requests for emergency assistance or service.
  • The candidate will be required to keep track of mileage, fuel consumption, repairs, and other expenses.
  • The candidate must plan assignments and coordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and Specialization

Computer and Technology Knowledge

  • The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about monitoring and tracking software.
  • The candidate should be skilled in using GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
  • The candidate must be familiar with spreadsheets and the internet.

  • The candidate must have a Basic security clearance.
