Job Description 

  • Candidates applied at this post to develop, design and review signage and pavement marking plans and programs for all transportation modes working at this post.
  • People who apply for this post are required to review the transportation design of external Consultants’ capital and land development projects working at this post.
  •  Applicants are accountable for providing traffic engineering recommendations for project selection and the development of terms of reference for transportation capital projects.
  • People who apply for this post are accountable for developing terms of reference for traffic engineering projects such as pavement markings, traffic calming measures, curb extensions, traffic circles, and more working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • They must possess a Civil Engineering Degree and a minimum of 5-7 years related experience in traffic or transportation engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Candidates must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee with Engineering and Geoscientists of British Columbia to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have to be directly related to experience within the public sector and working as a Consultant on municipal transportation projects to be considered as an asset for this post.
  • Candidates must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • They must have excellent oral and written communication skills and will respond to sensitive traffic matters to the public and elected representatives, conduct presentations to the public and stakeholders, and liaise with partners to be eligible for this post.
