Job description
- Candidates will participate and assist with safety and business plan roll-outs across the region.
- They are accountable for inputs and outputs of safety, service, productivity, financial metrics and adherence to corporate values.
- They will ensure compliance to CPKC’s policies and collective agreements and recommend changes.
- Candidates Conduct efficiency tests.
- They are accountable for the safe, on time operations of all trains and contribute to the overall execution of the LSOP and Operating Plan.
- They will identify and act on opportunities to increase yard/road fluidity and productivity.
- They ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance and financial metrics.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED.
- They must have qualified Locomotive Engineer as an asset.
- They must have the ability to understand and work with collective agreements and other applicable regulations.
- They must be able to understand the Operating Plan & Local Service Operating Plan and compliance.
- They must have knowledge of and ability to conduct investigations.
- They must have previous railway experience.
- They must be or become rules qualified (CROR – Canadian Rail Operating Rules).
- They must have the ability to accept change.

- They must have the ability to drill down, understand the root cause and resolve complex issues.
